work with ambiguity

It's a working style, not a problem that needs to be fixed.

People who thrive in ambiguous working situations tend to have a higher tolerance for uncertainty. They are more comfortable making decisions with incomplete information, and can easily internalize the “why” behind their choices. Those who excel in this working style usually ask fewer clarifying questions upfront and tend to follow up with more questions later on.

With people who require specific instructions often have a lower tolerance for uncertainty. They prefer clear guidelines that define performance excellence by others, and tend to avoid the risks of being wrong and excel only when working within a clearly defined process.

People who thrive working with ambiguity often feel energized in settings such as early-stage startup roles, freelance work, or small teams, while those who requires specific instruction do not thrive in these situations.
