why are schools hesitant?

It’s a missed opportunity when schools fail to help parents understand them at every interaction.

Schools, including those with innovative curricula, are often reluctant to talk about themselves: why do they exist? The change they seek to make? What parents can expect when they trust their children's care to the school.

There are three building blocks for every successful school:

  • A well-defined curriculum set up: a strong foundation to support their vision.
  • The complete theory of change states that when we do A this way, we get B as the desired outcome.
  • A clear decision on their cultural choice is reflected in all their actions.

The problem isn't that the staff is poorly trained or unwilling to answer parents' questions. Instead, it appears that one or two of the building pillars have not been clearly articulated at the leadership team level.
