There is a difference between doing it for oneself versus doing it for others.
For people who have practiced connecting to themselves, doing the work for themselves is a way to go: we sink deeper, forgetting about other people but listening to the voice inside us and communicating what we have to say. Doing work for ourselves is how we create. Period.
The goal is to connect.
It isn't about shipping. It isn't about pleasing others by saying what we think they want to hear. Success is a multifaceted concept that can mean many things.
It turns out that when we chase shipping or pleasing others, our work doesn't even connect with ourselves.
What moves us has the potential to move others who are like us — this might be the only way we create for others.
