what’s your focus?

Teaching a class is never easy.

Content to be communicated to people who need to hear it.

Expectations we set for everyone to learn how things are done around here.

Values (as a part of expectations) we believe and encourage alignment.

But most importantly, seeing in the classroom and understanding people before they even understand themselves.

At least two kinds of teaching in a classroom:

One says, “I help everyone, and they all like my class.”

The other constantly thinks about “I notice things are not working. How can I do it differently to make it better for students?”

When we constantly focus on ourselves, there is little room to care about others.
