what to measure?

Learning takes time, effort, observations, and reflection. Joining a group is an example. It's easy to decide whether a group is for us if there is a clear purpose, values, missions, and goals. But for many groups, that's a challenge.

It takes time to learn what the group is truly about and their values and goals. A group that claims to care about children's school experience measures the status quo instead of possible changes to meet children's learning needs or discover what "children's learning needs" even means. A group that claims to be a community measures popularity instead of caring for each other and promoting connections among people.

It's not always easy to know what to measure, but easy isn't why we do what we do. It's because better is possible.
