Communication becomes increasingly difficult, if not impossible, because everyone is at different stages in their life journeys and learning experiences. Each person has unique trigger points—words can be triggers too. People pursue their own paths, seek different kinds of success, and be part of something greater than themselves for a multitude of reasons.
Getting everyone on the same page is about creating a proximity. Within this parameter, we come together and achieve a shared goal.
When people begin to fall outside of the parameters, it’s not because anyone is wrong, but because the reasons behind it often remain invisible to others.
So instead of judging who's right or who's wrong, it is more useful to acknowledge that sometimes, despite our desires for how things should go, the proximity works until it doesn't any more.
