what do we volunteer for?

By giving their time and energy, volunteers contribute to something that has a lasting impact. They are a significant force in making a change. From parents in the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), one of the oldest volunteer organizations, to projects, and events like TEDx, we see the power of volunteering and its impact everywhere we turn.

Just like generosity doesn't mean free, volunteering doesn't mean mediocre work.

The chaos at the event check-in, resulting from the mixing of the current customer database with old events, unfulfilled promises of seating and agenda items, and inconsistent communication among the team and to customers, reflects poorly on the organization's goals and culture.

If attending volunteer-organized events means paying customers have to put up with bad experiences, what's the point of volunteering at all?
