two things in school

“不愤不启,不悱不发。举一隅,不以三隅反,则不复也” is from the Analects of Confucius. The two sentences talk about enrollment and the importance of revelation: if students don’t have the desire to learn and study, despite how much the teacher wants to teach, the result won’t be promising. If the students haven’t worked hard and tried to figure out the problems, simply giving them the answers helps nobody. When the teacher gives examples but students don't understand the learning point, pushing for the right answers doesn’t work.

They are worthy of our schools’ attention: developing a learning and studying experience that’s engaging and connecting, and helping students work at their level to learn about themselves and potential ways to figure out the problems through their revelation.
