the untouchable

It is not about one’s financial status, but the way we interact with the people around us.

One kind is the belief that all the problems are others’ to work on and improve. When things don’t work or meet someone's expectations, it’s other people’s fault, and they must be blamed.

An empathetic teacher demonstrates what empathy skills can do for human connections, regardless of judgments, accusations, and blame thrown his way. Through his calm responses and engagement, he turned these harsh reactions into connections. It is almost as if he is untouchable.

To save ourselves from a downward spiral of hatred and division, all of us need to become the untouchables.

But only one of these actually works.
