the disconnecting "norms"

Connection helps us feel seen, heard, and understood.

It brings acceptance to ourselves and others.

It brings laughter and smiles.

It redeems a bad morning, and now we can have a better day.

It helps us see that we have more in common than differences.

It releases our anxiety and stress.

It makes us feel significant.

It smooths our communications.

It slows down our judgment.

It makes us feel less alone.

It helps us feel braver and bolder.

It brings a good night's sleep.

It energizes us and keeps us going.

It makes us human.

All these positive experiences from connection serve as magical reminders about the pain of disconnection. And because of that, disconnecting isn't the norm to live our lives.

Let's treat it as such.
