Tension shows up when we learn something new, are questioned about our judgment, or are given suggestions.
We feel tension because we are not yet convinced. We are undecided before we change our minds.
Tension keeps us active and engaged. Once over the hump, we are in the open field where we see our next step, imagine what’s possible, and how things unfold from here.
Tension can also turn into resistance – refusing to change and defend the status quo.
Just like not all ideas are worth our attention. Not all tension leads to something useful.
