Successful vs. fulfilled
A successful life doesn’t necessarily mean fulfilled.
Many of us inherited the definition of success from our family and society: making more money that allows us to buy bigger houses, nicer cars, and higher social status through profession and expertise.
When this kind of success doesn’t bring joy and the quality of life we have imagined and expected, we start to wonder about the meaning of a fulfilled life.
Nobody can tell us what a fulfilled life looks like. It’s different for everyone. Just like nobody can tell us what brings us joy, we learn and find out along the way.
