serve the system

It’s not the same as serving the customers. Often, they stand on the opposite side of the customers.

The status quo prioritizes its own operation over serving. If a program could create a conflict within a system, no matter how beneficial it would be to children, the system can't support it. The museum's cleaning team is opposing an upcoming event because it will create additional work for them. Although the event is beneficial to the general public and aligns with the museum’s mission, the concerns of the cleaning staff have led to its cancellation.

We need systems in society. However, serving the system rather than maintaining a balance between themselves and customers has been a consistent struggle.

When a system is no longer serving enough people, the need to retain it diminishes.
