Coaching used to be a separate service. When we hired a coach, we expected a “coaching” service. Even though that largely remains true today, times have changed, and coaching has integrated into many businesses.
Today, if you work as a designer, an accountant, a medical doctor, or almost every service business, you must coach clients for collaboration. Coaching skills are more helpful in meeting people at a personal level and communicating information than building authority. Besides, coaching requires an exercise of empathy – a foundation to build trust.
Without coaching skills, working with someone is increasingly challenging because of missing empathy and connection.
