Physical safety is measured by physical objects and potential harm. Is the building strong enough to hold the roof over our heads? Will someone attack us in close range? Is there any danger that we expose ourselves to?
Emotional safety, on the other hand, is measured by how we work and interact with each other. Actions and behaviors that create distrust and stress lead to loneliness, noncooperation, and hostility.
When a group prioritizes physical safety, we can anticipate the challenges we collectively face down the road.
