I was in a session today with a group of brilliant minds and came across this quote from Heschel, “labor is a craft, but perfect rest is an art”.
At the time I didn’t think much of it because I was busy with my thoughts, but it came to me a few hours later. And a small shift arrived unexpectedly.
It flipped what I have believed all along and a new narrative emerged: being busy is normal. Having a good rest is rare.
And knowing what a great rest truly feels and looks like is an art. That we create our own.
