reaction

It's easy to believe that reaction is the way to make a change.

"This doesn't work for me and people like me". "It's wrong". And "I don't like it".

Without understanding the difference, we remain stuck in a reaction, believing it helps.

Whenever we think about the problem, we react. We protest. Reaction is our most straightforward expression.

But change rarely comes from reaction alone (even though it often begins with it). Once we have gone through the reaction (emotional disconnection) phase, we learn to connect: Whom do we want to talk to? What would I like to do next? How can we consistently make progress?

Step by step, we connect to make change happen.
