The best way to not care about the wrong audiences is to focus on who we care and what we care to do.
Caring for the wrong audiences and convincing them to change their minds isn’t a good way to spend our time and energy. Focusing on the people who cherish our products and services instead is. What have we learned about them? How might we improve to serve better?
When we let go of the thought that we are for everyone, it makes sense not to care about the wrong people and what they say about our products and services.
Sometimes, it takes several rounds of trial and error to figure it out, but understanding why helps us focus and keep focusing.
