As someone who seeks to make a change, I hear a lot of “No” and sometimes even silence. No response at all.
This is especially true when we choose to tackle a problem in a system that usually doesn’t care or bend for requests.
It’s easy to become discouraged and move on. But what’s also useful to realize is that “no” for now doesn’t mean “no” forever.
Don’t abandon the idea easily. Keep seeking. Keep learning.
If the change you seek is to help you gain status, maybe you should focus on how to get there faster. But if you seek the change for people you choose to serve, keep exploring and trying is how you'll eventually get there.
Redefining what “no” means helps us see what we can do next.
