When we don't see our growth over time, a lack of learning might be one reason, but not having the proper practice can be another. 

We improve writing by writing for 20 minutes every day.

We improve regulating our emotions by reaching inward to feel our feelings and understand our needs daily.

We get better at swimming by consistently getting in the water.

We don't often pause to think about the next skill we want to master. But once clear, the best practice gets us to the goal.
