One practice that helps us understand our bodies is noticing where we feel the emotions when a triggering event happens.
When we are frustrated or angry at someone or something, we feel it inside. Some people feel it on their chest, some in their stomach, some below their belly button, and some notice tension on their neck and shoulders.
Our body tells us important information about our emotions, and the discomfort could last for days if not weeks and months.
When we notice something trapped in our chest that doesn’t go anywhere, it’s helpful to connect to self and understand what bothers us.
Learning to solve problems raised by our physical body is one way to travel light and move freely.
