When we form judgments about someone, we hold a bias towards their words and behaviors. For people we favor, we are more likely to choose to believe their words and actions. Otherwise, we are inclined to disregard what they say or do.
It's critical to understand judgment. If it's based on a shared reality and observation, judgment is a credible guide for a resolution. When judgment is based on assumption, we must figure out what we have assumed if the connection is the goal.
Our judgment is a mirror, not only a reflection of our strengths but also of our limits and challenges.
