it's up to who?

When a class heavily relies on discipline and punishment, it’s up to the students to behave and comply.

When a class is about trusting people’s emotional enrollment and desire to do better, the teacher must activate the audience’s curiosity, wonder, and awe.

Not surprisingly, the two ways of viewing our classes reflect the purpose of creating them: the former is to meet a standard that has little to do with people, while the latter believes everyone has a potential they want to fulfill.
