One of the challenges when learning a process language like Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is to integrate the knowledge and practice into daily life. It sounds easy but has turned out to be really challenging, especially when we don’t know what integration means and looks like for each one of us.
It’s possible that the gap between where we want to be versus where we are now is bigger than we think. Falling through the cracks without understanding why creates frustration that helps no one.
I wonder if integration might be a doable step that's an improvement from our old pattern towards the goal we are reaching. Just like everything else, improvement doesn’t have to be something that's drastically different but 1 or 2% better than where we are now.
What does the smallest integration looks like for you?
