healing

When we are triggered, often it’s because we don’t feel seen, heard or being understood.

It’s challenging to feel alone and disconnected from the others. As social species, we want connection, to be valued, and a sense of belonging.

Disconnecting from the others often happens in parallel with disconnecting in oneself.

Self-disconnection is a state that many of us try hard to run away from by suppressing, avoiding or dismissing, consciously or unconsciously. Because it’s emotional. It’s scary and frustrating…

But these feelings are not going away simply because we don’t want to experience them. They linger and stay until we acknowledge and accept their existence.

Feeling the feelings is an important part of the work to reconnect with ourselves, and the start of healing.
