They think about children before themselves.
They value integrity and trust.
They accept differences among people yet retain their principles and values.
They value courage and doing the right things more than what's convenient and comfortable.
They seek the most profound truth among all of us.
They are empathic and compassionate to those who love and support them and people who disagree with them and hold opposing values.
They have strength that's stronger than people's imagination. They teach us the real definition of gender equity. Their existence alone says that no matter what gender we identify with, we can learn, grow, and contribute just like everyone else.
They see everyone, from the big to the small, the masculine to the vulnerable, and the popular to the outlier, because they see themselves and understand what it feels like to be seen.
They speak up for children who can't speak up for themselves, fight injustice in dire situations, contribute to families and communities, and hold everyone in their hearts even when people don't realize it. They don't do it for themselves but love for the whole.
They make significant changes in the world. Just look around. We see them everywhere we turn.
To all you brave, bold, badass moms out there.
