Good feedback is in demand, has always been.
Knowing what is a good feedback helps us understand how to give one.
It’s easy to structure a feedback with a positive opening, then the issue, and finish with a positive ending. But when all the comments, positive and negative, are superficial and mediocre, that’s exactly what people get from us. Not helpful at all.
When a good feedback raises questions about our values, positioning in the market place and specific contribution (or not) towards the greater society, structure is secondary.
Many of us shy away from giving good feedback because we are not sure what it looks like or how it feels. Learning to see is helpful.
Avoiding learning and practicing good feedback doesn't help anyone.
