I turned to Brené Brown’s most recent book, Atlas of the Heart, to learn more about feelings and emotions and saw this quote, “I’m here to get it right, not to be right”.
It's about two different stories. If the work is to find out the truth about the problem we try to solve, and the right answers and change, we are a part of the collective effort in the truth finding. We contribute to the work that many have done and are doing already.
If the work is to be right, it has little to do with the work but us and our egos.
It’s important to draw the line, especially when the work is communicated through our own point of view. Seeing where we end and the work starts is a constant dance and exploration in the process.
Choose our posture, choose our work.
