That’s the question every business owner and organizer needs to ask. It’s easy to get confused about why a business exists.
Some may say, "Because we need to make money so we can support our lives."
Others may say, "I do this because I enjoy it, and it's for myself."
While both can be valid, reality eventually shows us how business actually works.
When we prioritize our own interests over the people we seek to serve, we're unlikely to last long. The reason is simple: when people feel unheard, unseen, or uncared for, they have little reason to stick around.
In times of conflict, it helps to ask ourselves: Are we making this decision to serve ourselves or to serve the people we seek to serve?
