firmness vs. rigidity

Is it about doing what works, or catering to the ego?

‍

Being firm in running a business is about having clarity—clarity in supporting our values and beliefs and delivering on our promises. However, when circumstances change, we must be willing to adapt.

‍

Rigidity, on the other hand, comes from ego, convenience, and fear. It's about clinging to an ideal, decision, or line of reasoning that no longer serves us, simply because we fear backing down and losing.

‍

Adapting to changes can be difficult, but keeping our purpose in mind helps us tell the difference between being firm and being rigid.
