It’s one of the known challenges when connecting with oneself.
Feelings are helpful in identifying our unmet needs, not only the ones that are obvious but also the hidden ones in our subconsciousness.
It’s easy to name feelings that are obvious: happy, sad, frustrated and angry. But what’s not easy is to name feelings that are in the mix and hard to identify. Often we dismiss the mixed and obscure feelings because we don’t know what to do with them.
It turns out that the mixed feelings and the unidentifiable emotions hold tremendous values in self-connection. They inform us that something isn’t working, and we still have unmet needs even after we try to name everything we know of.
Feelings and emotions guide us to look deeper inside, such as habits and beliefs.
Until we get to the bottom of the unmet needs, our feelings persist.
