Even though painful to experience, failure teaches us a valuable lesson.
Instead of being stuck in self-criticism (the useless form of shame), we learn about ourselves and what we value.
“This turns out not working for me”, “Hmmm, now I see that I value space and rest more than staying busy”, and “If this happens again, I am going to say ‘No’” are all valuable insights from learning.
Changing how we talk to ourselves when something didn’t work out helps us see the gold in failure.
