Many people are not familiar with the word "equanimity" and its meaning. Here is the definition from Wikipedia: Equanimity is a state of psychological stability and composure which is undisturbed by the experience of or exposure to emotions, pain, or other phenomena that may cause others to lose the balance of their mind.
Equanimity is the combination of the inner world and the physical being. It's the calmness.
When facing the unexpected or triggering events, it is helpful to pause and create a shift: whether it's changing the focus or taking a break to process and regroup. Increasing our inner capacity also means building a stronger equanimity.
