employee turnover and startups

At an early stage, startups often experience a high employee turnover rate. There are a few reasons that cause this:

Finding the right fit can be difficult: startups often face the challenge of not only identifying the right skills but also those who align with the company's culture and values.

Not following the status quo: Startups are often the brands that challenge the current status quo in their category. It requires an open mentality and a willingness to change, which is not a comfortable zone for many.

Rapid growth and change of direction: Learn from the experience is how startups gain traction and keep growing. Learning means trying different things and adapting. This change of direction, although it benefits the business, may create the impression that employees are not valued for their work.

Resources and support limits: Unlike established businesses, startups are often scrappy and have a much simpler structure. For employees who rely on support, startups may not be a good fit.

High employee turnover, although challenging to experience, doesn't mean failure. Learning from their experiences, startups that retain talent over time are more likely to achieve their goals.
