emotional expansion

All the practices we do as individuals eventually increase our capacity and support personal growth. These practices include developing emotional regulation, pursuing career and passion projects, leading in our fields, and blazing trails to serve the people we seek to serve.

‍

At first, our focus is more about us. How do we feel? What do we want to do? Who do we want to connect with? Who do we choose to travel alongside?

‍

As we progress on this journey, we build enough muscles in all aspects of our lives that we begin to notice a transformation. Quantity leads to a change in quality.

‍

Gradually, it becomes less about our individual feelings (as our emotional regulation becomes more effective and takes less time) and our judgments, which shift from being centered on personal sentiments to focusing on what actions we can take next to move toward our vision. Our sense of personal significance evolves. Success has increasingly become how we can serve and build up others.

‍

When we reach a point of emotional expansion, the differences is apparent.

‍

While we may not be able to measure and quantify all the changes, if we are honest with our practices, we can sense the change within ourselves.

‍

When we change, the people and things around us change too.
