embody abundance

Fear of missing out (FOMO) or not enough sneaks out in the first few minutes after you land on social media or platforms.

The longer you browse what’s happening with others, especially people you know and are connected with, the more FOMO is reinforced. It feels like you have been missing out, are behind, and not enough no matter what you do.

FOMO at its best.

But none of these are true. What’s even more critical is none of them are helpful. They are not helpful because these feelings pressure us to feel less confident, to go faster and try harder, and even chase shortcuts – bait for attention, for example.

Instead of following the fear and letting it drive every decision, we could choose to make a change by shifting into a different state - the state of abundance.

Take a few minutes to connect with yourself; imagine when you have abundant time to savor, abundant attention to give to the work you truly care about, the abundant situation like the farmer’s market on a sunny Saturday where you have all the time, patience and attention to choose what you want and plenty for others to choose theirs. Just immerse yourself in that picture and get out of the fear state.

Creating and participating with abundance and bliss is a better place to start.
