The first time I came across Akimbo workshops, I had no idea how they worked. After coming up with a service product idea, I decided to run with it. It was only toward the end of the workshop that I realized my idea would never work the way I thought. It was easy to believe 6-months of my time and work went down the drain with nothing to gain.
Often we hear people talk about things they have done, but not so often share what they have learned. Our doing is only half of the story even when it's a great story to tell.
6-months experiment taught me that a problem worth solving rarely comes from the vacuum (what we think is an issue) but understanding people and the world around us.
The learning and growth in the other half help us go further.
