diverse human intelligence

When I was a little kid, my mom tried to motivate me but often failed. She would start the conversation like this, "Why can't you be like xx and xx?! They did this so well and made their parents proud."

For a long time, I couldn't help but beat myself up for not doing something so well like xx and xx. As I got older and learned more about myself, I stopped comparing myself to others. One of the reasons was that it was the fastest way to make myself feel hopeless and miserable. That didn't help anyone. Additionally, I realized that when I stopped comparing, I got to focus on discovering what I was good at, instead.

We are all uniquely amazing at something we are good at, and that's called the diverse human intelligence.

For something that some people, such as VC investors, are good at doing, which I am not, because they are interested in venture capital enough to keep exploring and eventually get somewhere. For empathic people, like many I know, who excel at understanding others and are committed to this practice, our life journey looks different.

One thing that learning can help all of us discover is what we are good at, interested in, and passionate about, and to lean into our intuitive intelligence to amplify who we truly are.

When we discover our path, we are on the way to fulfilling our potential and thriving.
