communication and action

Communication is putting us on the hook. Saying it is just as important as taking the action. The best way to build trust (in ourselves and with others) is to do both.

When our words and actions align enough, we say what we mean.

For people who are comfortable with communication, announcing it first helps direct our actions. For people who connect with doing first, communicating your actions helps others understand your work.

Two things to notice in the communication and action combination:

A delay happens between the two. This is where learning is: learning about the subject, the game, but more importantly, about ourselves – self-awareness, progress, and growth.

There is no right or wrong order in which one should be first between the two. Noticing which one connects us more than the other is part of understanding ourselves: our unique intelligence, interests, and what motivates us.

Going back and forth and persevering may feel like we're circling at the same spot, but I promise you, when we continue learning and making things happen, we're moving upwards (growing), even when it doesn't feel like it.
