clarity through fear

Fear is a pervasive voice. When we are not paying attention, it takes control of every decision we make.

Fear tells us to avoid confrontation.

Fear says having an uncomfortable conversation is a bad idea.

Fear demands silence. Shhh, don’t say anything.

Fear does not make our lives better; it only makes them worse.

By avoiding uncomfortable conversations, we become frustrated as things continue to go in the wrong direction.

By remaining silent, we allow harmful behaviors to affect others in the community we build and protect.

When we think that other people are responsible for all our problems, we overlook the real issue at the heart of the matter – our fear. Instead of letting fear spiral out of control, stare it down and name it loudly and clearly.

Confronting fear makes it go away, along with our frustration, anger, and other emotional disconnections.

Besides empathy, here is another way to bring us back to being centered.
