changing success

The final episode of Netflix’s Culinary Class Wars ended with an interesting twist.

Audiences assume that, in a typical cooking competition, the food's taste dominates the final results. The best-tasting dish wins!

Not often, the judging criteria go to something other than the dish, but it happens this time.

When the market is flooded with everything we ever need, the split-the-hair difference in quality between product A and product B doesn’t matter as much anymore.

Instead of focusing on the taste, the evaluation goes to the creators—the integration between mind, body, heart, and soul. After all, the dish is simply an extension of its creator. Instead of the food, the judges are experiencing the chef's worldview and beliefs.

Like the cooking show, in the ever-evolving creative landscape, the definition of success is changing too.
