For an obvious problem, it’s easy to reach a consensus and figure out the best strategy to tackle it.
For the persistent problem, it’s easy to see the symptoms, but the real problem often is much bigger and hidden.
When we encounter persistent challenges, focusing on the so-called “problem” goes only so far (why it’s persistent), and the symptoms remain stagnant.
Instead of focusing on the wrong thing, expand our awareness and learn to see the bigger picture.
Often, the clarity about the problem comes from outside the box.
But we can only get there by knowing what we have previously limited ourselves to.
