There is something about being with others. A celebration with a marching band, drum beat, music, crowd, followers, and cheering is all a part of being together.
Everyone dresses differently. Everyone is unique in their own way. And yet, we all feel the beat, the rhythm, and the march similarly.
Excitement, joy, warmth and safety from togetherness helped us see that, as different as we all are from one another, our experiences as human are remarkably similar. This shared humanity is what binds us together and makes us appreciate and love each other.
When we celebrate a holiday, event, or cause, what we really celebrate is each other.
