acceptance and progress

Acceptance is a part of progress.

It’s easy to think of acceptance as settling for or dwelling on something less. When things are not working for us, we often struggle with acceptance. First is the acceptance of our emotions, reactions, and even ourselves. Second is the outcome – things or relationships that don’t work out as we hope. Instead of embracing ourselves and the outcome, we often reject them with fear and blame (ourselves or others).

Acceptance is about connection with honesty. When grounded in our self-acceptance, the world opens up with possibilities.
