The word is often associated with moral principles and uprightness. But integrity takes on a profound meaning when we seek to show up as our whole true selves.
Self-connection is a significant effort and skill towards integrity.
School years haven't historically been about integrity, the state of being whole. Children are torn between the objects they study, subjects that they have little or no interest in, and things they can’t get enough of, such as dance, climbing, drawing, or playing in general. Growing up as one's whole self has been scarce and a luxury to many, only a dream to dream about.
Because of that, discovering who we truly are has only become possible for many in their later lives.
If every child is allowed to explore, experiment, and learn about themselves in their early school years, we have a chance to raise healthier and stronger generations.
Integrity shouldn't be reserved for later life as the highest achievement, but the opposite.
