Solving a problem is easier. There are resources, tools, and strategies. All we need is to figure out an answer.

Solving a situation is a whole different approach. What’s involved? How does each element work? Will they work together or against each other? What are the symptoms? What are the root causes? The questions can go on and on...

We need critical thinking skills to solve a problem. But it requires imagination to solve a situation - an imagination that’s based on insights into people, conditions, and the way the world operates.
