Even for the parents who don’t think you have the wisdom, you do.
Our wisdom comes from love.
We want the best for them.
We care about things they enjoy and love doing.
We are careful about the line between love and our responsibilities as adults.
We sense their feelings and emotions.
We feel their pain and discomfort when they are not well.
We see their desire to fit in and be liked.
We can imagine the challenges they faced in their social life.
We listen to the words they try to communicate, but haven’t learned how to articulate them yet.
We mourn together when there is a loss, big or small.
…
It’s not just parents who have the wisdom.
Anyone who cares about children has it, too.
