a helpful story

Our stories fill the gaps between realities and thoughts. Sometimes, they reflect facts and truths. Sometimes, they are assumptions and guesses.

Because of these stories, we get to see patterns and understand ourselves, as well as the people and things around us.

Helpful stories convince us to do things that connect and serve.

The opposite kind of stories makes us more fearful, disconnected, and isolated.

Learning to tell ourselves helpful stories is a valuable skill that encourages us to trust ourselves, empathize with others, and have faith in life, even in the most dire circumstances.
