a helpful state

Different situations require us to show up differently. A helpful state means different things in various situations.

When you are a teacher in the classroom, showing up with certainty helps to build trust and credibility. A helpful state is to share your knowledge, experiences, and confidence with others who are eager to learn from you.

At home, certainty may not always work. Your spouse is looking for empathy, consideration, and partnership. Your children are looking for your attention, care, and love. Being empathic and understanding is what a helpful state looks like.

In a community, your peers are looking for support and accountability. They need to know that they can count on you as much as you need to count on them. Being generous inspires everyone to step up and contribute.

Understanding what people need in their specific circumstances helps us learn what works best. By helping others, we help ourselves.
